David Aurand

David Russell Aurand,78, passed away February 9, 2018, in Webster, TX. He was born on March 17, 1939, in Akron Ohio to Glenn and Theresa Aurand. He is survived by his daughters, Terri and her husband Rick of Friendswood, TX , Tami Hall of Camarillo, CA, his sons, Timothy and his wife Millie of Puyallup, WA., Thomas and his wife Shannon of Daly City, CA, his sister Jean Palmer of Edgewater, FL, and his cherished Grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, T.J, Brett, MaryElizabeth, Wyatt, Nicolas, and his stepdaughter Kandis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, and his parents, Glenn and Theresa. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and after high school, he joined the Airforce. He was based on several bases in the US and finally started his career with General Electric as a contractor to NASA. As the Apollo program ended, he and his family were transferred to Houston, TX to work on the Shuttle Program at Johnson Space Center as a Computer Data Specialist. He and his family then settled in Friendswood TX.  Retiring in Clear Lake City he loved collecting cars and going to car shows. He also enjoyed coin collecting and if there was a gun show in town you would surely find him there. He had a great sense of humor and a huge heart. He will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home 111 E. Medical Center Blvd Webster TX 77598
