Carl L. Poindexter

   Carl Lee Poindexter, of Clear Lake, Texas, transitioned from life on Earth to life eternal on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017. Carl was born in Racine, Wisc., on May 19, 1937, to Percy and Verita Poindexter, who have preceded him in death.

   Carl is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Delores E. Poindexter; daughter Carol J. Poindexter-Sylvers; daughter Deirdre A. McClarin and husband David; son Gregory B. Poindexter and wife Naomi; grandchildren Stephannie, Ashley, Nicole, Cara and Griffith; sister Jean Dash and husband Earnest; sister Jackie Harrell and late husband Marvin; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

   He was a beloved husband, amazing father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

   A memorial service is being held at Calvary Houston Church in Friendswood, Texas, at 11:00 am on Sept. 30, 2017.

  2. I knew Carl when I worked at St. Luke’s Hospital In the ER. He was a very nice person, and a Good Police Officer. The late 60s were a difficult time, and Carl was alway’s a very pleasant person. He will certainly be missed. My condolences to his entire family.

      While researching information on my grandfather, Percy Bernard Poindexter, I came across the postings on this page. Prior to today, Feb. 21, 2023, I was unaware this even existed.
