Matt J. Crowder - Funeral Director
Matthew Joseph Crowder (Matt) was born in Texas City, Texas to Ron
and Carolyn Crowder. He grew up in La Marque, Texas and graduated
from La Marque High School in 1993. In 1996, Matt completed and
obtained a Associates Degree of Applied Science in Funeral Service
from Commonwealth Institute of Mortuary Science in Houston.
Matt was introduced to the funeral service industry at a young age.
At the age of 14, Matt began working at James Crowder Funeral Home
in La Marque. Inspired by his father Ron, and grandfather James,
his employment would then later turn into a career.
Matt previously co-managed the Crowder Funeral Home location in
Webster, and as of April 2011, now proudly manages our new location
in League City.
Matt serves on the Board of Directors for James Crowder Funeral Home,
Crowder Investments, Inc and Crowder Holdings, Inc.
While following in his family’s footsteps, he has always valued
being active in the community. In 2002, he was elected to the
Galveston County Drainage District #2. Not to mention the numerous
civic organizations including serving as Treasurer for the
non-profit Hospice Care Team.
Matt and his wife Tarah have been married for six years. They
have two sons; Luke and Hudson, and currently reside in Dickinson.
